Our story

 

Order Planner was born, as with most products, out of necessity and the idea that even small to mid-size businesses should be able to manage their own production flow like the big companies do.

 

The idea was to allow even a small company to setup a production tree and allow the different people working on a project to complete their job without having to know each other. Like in a traditional production chain, you get notified when you are supposed to start your work, you receive your working elements online, and upon completion of your work you close your task and to production moves forward.

 

The main focus was to make the whole process as automated as possible while preserving the anonymity that many small businesses must rely upon to protect their main assets: Know-how and vendor/customer lists.

 

We tried to make the foundation of the software as generic as possible so that a variety of businesses/industries can take advantage of it. In some cases such generic foundation may seem to come in the way of special customizations that some industries require, but we found out that in the majority of cases you can easily adapt your business work flow and in some cases this makes you find an even better way to complete your job.

 

In the future we plan to develop modules specific to each industry and support is already part of the foundation, and for that we encourage users to try our software and give us feedback on what they would like to see improved and added for their specific industries.
